Privacy Policy
Super Seek (playsuperseek.com) is a puzzle game operated by Superco. This page explains what information the game stores and why. The short version: we store your puzzle results so leaderboards and challenges work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising trackers.
What we store
An anonymous player account. When you first open the game you automatically get an account with a random display name (for example "Swift Otter 42"). No email, name or password is needed to play.
Your gameplay. Puzzle completions (which puzzle, your time, hints used, when you started and finished), challenges you send or answer, and — when those features arrive — streaks, duels and group results. Times appear on public leaderboards next to your display name. To keep leaderboards fair we also record how a solve unfolded on the board (the sequence and timing of your moves during a run); this is never public and is only reviewed to investigate suspicious play. We also note the country your first game was played from (country only — never your precise location) so we can see where in the world Super Seek is being played.
If you sign in with Google. Signing in is optional and exists so your progress survives a new phone or a cleared browser. When you link Google we store the email address and identifier Google provides. Google's sign-in also sends us your name and profile photo, which our sign-in system stores; we never display or use them. We never see your Google password, we don't access your contacts, files or anything else in your Google account, and we don't use your email for marketing.
Device and usage information. We record your browser type on your profile and keep anonymous usage events — which screens were viewed, which boards were opened, and the page that brought you here — to understand how the game is used and to tell real players from bots. None of this is public. We also use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that counts page views and game events without identifying you.
Notifications, if you turn them on. Enabling notifications stores your browser's push address and delivery keys with us, and notifications are delivered through your browser maker's push service (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla or Samsung, depending on your browser). Notifications are off unless you enable them, and you can turn them off at any time.
Feedback and error reports. When you send feedback through the in-game form, your message and display name are copied into our issue tracker (Linear, a US-based service) so we can fix what you reported — please don't put personal details in feedback text. If the game crashes, an automatic report with the error, page and browser type is filed the same way.
Technical basics. Like almost every website, our hosting providers keep short-lived request logs (IP address, browser type) for security and debugging, and our sign-in system keeps the IP address of each sign-in as a security record. We never use your IP address to work out your location beyond country, and we never publish it.
Cookies and local storage
The game uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your progress on your device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Where your data lives
Player data is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). The website is served by Vercel. Feedback and error reports go to Linear in the United States. All three act as data processors on our behalf.
What we never do
We don't sell or rent your data. We don't show ads. We don't ask for your contacts. Public leaderboards show only your display name and puzzle results.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the data we hold about you at any time — email support@superco.ai and we'll act within a month. Deleting your account removes your profile and gameplay history, including any copies in our internal archive. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK you have these rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Age
Super Seek is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please don't play without a parent or guardian's permission.
Contact
For anything privacy-related, email support@superco.ai.
